Frequently asked questions.

Where can I perform ceremonies?

I am eligible in the US under the Universal Life Church! Please visit their interactive map HERE to confirm your state’s eligibility! NOTE: Virtual ceremonies are NOT recognized in all states! Please confirm with your county clerk’s office the requirements for virtual ceremonies before booking this service.

Will I give a speech as part of the ceremony?

This is up to the client and subject to additional fees. My ceremonies typically last no longer than 30 minutes including additional traditions, religious inclusion, and readings from other participants. The foundation of my customized ceremonies is rooted in centering the couple and their unique attributes, highlighting their strengths together, and getting to the heart of who they are so they feel properly seen and represented on their special day.

Will I give a sermon?

No, I am an atheist! However, I do respect and encourage traditions of value to my clients being included in their ceremony! I am willing to learn and assist with these traditions, but highly encourage a trusted practitioner, friend, or family member of faith to facilitate that portion of your ceremony so as to provide the deepest meaning and understanding on your special day!

If you aren’t religious, are you willing to marry folks in a religious service/at a religious site?

Sure! However, the ceremonies I agree to are subject to my own values and comfort. If the space or religious practice is not aligned with my core values of humanity, justice, and equity I will decline with feedback.

What is your availability?

Due to the nature of my career, my availability is limited. While I strive to accommodate 1-3 ceremonies per month, my podcast work is primary and involves long stretches of travel that may render me unavailable for your ceremony.
